Marisa Laurito slams Stefano De Martino? "Don't compare him to Arbore." Then the truth about Ballando.

Marisa Laurito opens up in a lengthy interview with Superguidatv, where she discusses Stefano De Martino once again. The Neapolitan host is considered RAI's new star after a triumphant season of Affari Tuoi, and many consider him Renzo Arbore's heir. Marisa Laurito, however, strongly disagrees, considering him completely different from Arbore, with whom she worked for many years. " Arbore was an inventor of television , of a different kind of television, of a different kind of cinema, of a different kind of radio—in other words, of all this other stuff that was transgressive, intelligent, ironic, and so on and so forth," Laurito clarified.

Returning to the host of Affari Tuoi, he added : “ De Martino? The problem is comparing him to Arbore ! Even today I believe that there are no comparisons to be made because the Arborian world is the one that Arbore created .”

Marisa Laurito's career has been full of successes, and over the years, she's always ventured into new adventures. In 2014, she even agreed to participate in Dancing with the Stars. The actress was paired with professional dancer Stefano Oradei, and Laurito says of that experience: " Dancing with the Stars is a fun talent show, but ultimately I didn't enjoy it much because I thought there was more to it. A bit like the American version. Here, the emphasis is more on the quality of the dance, and it makes no sense to compare me to athletes who do hours and hours of gymnastics every day. Above all, I don't care about putting my foot in that particular position at all costs; I don't even find it interesting, to be honest."

Years later, she finally admits: " I wouldn't do it again because I didn't enjoy it. I'm used to having fun when I work, so it's at the core of who I am. This is another peculiarity of those of us who worked with Renzo Arbore ."
